We’ve seen a few snakes here and there, but this is the first one that was really close to home – in our backyard! We wondered what those little nets were that the gardeners were placing around the base of the back walls to our yard….and know we know….they are for catching snakes! Yikes! This guy was trapped in one of them this past weekend. We’re pretty sure he’s a rat snake – harmless (unless you are a rat or other small animal), but scary looking nonetheless at about 2 feet long! Lucky for us, we didn’t have to do anything to catch it…the guards from the front our neighborhood came and did the snake removal for us! Ick!
